Scoring
- Each match to be played over 9 holes.
- Points will be awarded as follows:
- Win = 2 points
- Draw = 1 point
- Loss = 0 points
- All 9 holes must be played, even if a match is decided before the final hole.
- Example: A team wins 3&2, meaning they were 3 up with 2 holes to play, securing the match win on the 7th hole. However, the 8th and 9th holes are still played, and they lose both. In this case:
- They still earn 2 points for winning the match.
- Before the 8th and 9th holes, they were 3 up, but since they lost the last two holes, their net “Holes Won” is just 1 hole.
- Example: A team wins 3&2, meaning they were 3 up with 2 holes to play, securing the match win on the 7th hole. However, the 8th and 9th holes are still played, and they lose both. In this case:
- So it’s important that the information sent to the relevant WhatsApp group shows the Match Result and the Holes Won.
- Holes Won: If two or more teams finish with the same number of points, the total number of holes won across all matches will be used as a tiebreaker.
