Ladies and Junior Girls
Sarah Kelly:
Thanks to everyone who took part in the Junior Girls/ Ladies event last Sunday.
It was a great success with lots of good quality golf, fun and chats along the way!
Lovely to see so many of our junior girls out playing and interaction with the ladies.
Congratulation to our runners up Laura Dillon , Clara Colgan, Trish Ryan and Gemma Dillon and to the winners on the day Sadhbh Kenny, Orna Kenny, Alma Moran and Sarah Kelly.
Special thanks to the ladies who volunteered their time on the day and to the restaurant staff who looked after us so well.
We’re hoping to make this an annual event to encourage the junior girls to get out playing with the ladies and to participate in more of the ladies club competitions.

**Liffey Valley League:
Another great year for our Juniors playing in the Liffey Valley League. We were in the running to retain our Trophy until the last outing but unfortunately just fell short. Overall we have 6 courses participating (Castleknock, Hermitage, Westmanstown, Newlands, Lucan and Millicent). This gave a huge opportunity to our Juniors to play across the summer in some great courses with other golfers of similar age and standard to themselves. The feedback was extremely positive across all events.
**Golf Sixes:
The Junior 6’s team came 4th overall in the All-Ireland Competition, having progressed through the Leinster qualifier in Hermitage, the Leinster final in Millicent. They lost out to the eventual winners by 2 shots on the day and were awarded a pennant. An excellent outcome only 2 years after the inception of the Junior 6’s section in the club.
Congratulations to the Junior Club and their Junior 6’s team who were awarded a pennant for 4th place on Sunday last at Grange Golf Club. Team members Tom Bredin, Alex Doyle, Joshua Hammond, Joe Bruen, Zoe Elliott, and Cara O’Donovan finished 2 shots behind the winners.
An amazing performance from the team and squad over the year. Great day for our Junior Club and the future of our club is bright.
